Easter present for a diabetic

I found the most amazing things at Ally Pally show last weekend.
This is my first project, which will be a present for my diabetic mother in law.
It will also be my entry for this months Spring colours.
This is the MDF jam jar that I bought from Anna Marie Designs

I've added a small note book and pen

I've used Lavinia stamps to create the boarder around the edge with gilding flakes
Forest Glade from Imagination crafts

I've also used a verse from Lavinia along with the Zen Butterfly and a stamps away mask

I've used the Toadstool houses and some Lavinia fairies and used mica powders to colour
The board was painted with Deco chalk paint, a piece of blue gingham and some lace ribbon, a feather and a few flowers.  I'm hoping this will be an acceptable entry to this months challenge.

  1. Fabulous, fabulous project.. I see you have a notebook as your central theme and have stamped, painted and stencilled the Jar like a good 'un!
So pretty ....I bet MIL will love it !
    Eileen xx

  2. Thanks Eileen. The paint was good to use and took the stamps well. I really wanted a plain fronted note pad but was unable to find one, but this was the nearest colour match to the base paint. xx

  3. Ooooo, this is lovely Elaine......great selection of stamps, and such a good idea to add the notepad. I'm sure it will be well accepted xx

  4. Gorgeous, what a lovely keepsake xx

  5. Thanks chaps for your kind comments :) xx

  6. She will love this! Something a bit different...x

  7. This is soooooo creative, very clever. Not having gone to Ally Pally this year I can now see a taste of the products I missed, :( enjoy getting creative! Julie x

  8. Oh I was at Ali Pali too - spent far too much!! love your project, I am sure your mother-in-law will love it!

  9. What a fabulous project and keepsake gift, those paints are rather lush aren't they ;-) xx

  10. Lots of elements coming together to make a fabulous project. Hope your MIL liked it.x
