June Lavinia Blog Challenge

I've been a bit lazy lately with my crafting, not had much time, lost my mojo.
So I've decided to let myself back in gently and downloaded a beautiful digi-stamp from Lavinia Stamps.

I have transferred the image on to a blank linen bag and sewn and glued on some buttons, bling and a butterfly.

I hope I've done justice to the beautiful image ........ my ironing isn't up to much, but care needs to be taken with the transfers after adding the bling and finishing the sewing.

You'll need to forgive the crease across the middle, linen isn't the easiest thing to iron.

Easter present for a diabetic

I found the most amazing things at Ally Pally show last weekend.
This is my first project, which will be a present for my diabetic mother in law.
It will also be my entry for this months http://blog.laviniastamps.com/ Spring colours.

This is the MDF jam jar that I bought from Anna Marie Designs

I've added a small note book and pen

I've used Lavinia stamps to create the boarder around the edge with gilding flakes
Forest Glade from Imagination crafts

I've also used a verse from Lavinia along with the Zen Butterfly and a stamps away mask

I've used the Toadstool houses and some Lavinia fairies and used mica powders to colour
The board was painted with Deco chalk paint, a piece of blue gingham and some lace ribbon, a feather and a few flowers.  I'm hoping this will be an acceptable entry to this months challenge.

Mothers day card for the Mother in Law

This years Mothers day card

I used a blank window card, inked the card with distress ink and an imagination stencil.

Randomly used the stencil to ink the heart pop out.

All flowers were dipped into UTE using my melt pot

Couple of bits of acetate, stuck the heart on the back piece of acetate along with the flowers

Bit of ribbon and a greeting.

First card I've made in ages.

Sweet Poppy Stencils

I received my new Poppy Stencils and have had a play.  I love the stencils they are so good to work with.   Here are the results of a very quick play.  I'd take longer if I were making them for cards, but I just couldn't wait to have a quick dabble.

House

I've used distress inks, translucent paste and micro beads.

Dress no2

Same technique again, distress inks, translucent paste and micro beads.

Shoe no 1

I'd love a pair of shoes like these the design is so elegant.  Again same technique, distress inks, translucent paste and micro beads.

Over the weekend I'm hoping to have time for a more leisurely play with them.

1st project of 2014 and Lavinia challenge entry

Happy new year all.  Archie spent the day in the vets today having some blood tests, so to help make the time pass quickly I thought I'd have a play with my crafting stash.
I used my Lavinia stamps on a small wooden plaque, added some TH enamel and  posca pen dots, along with some glamour dust to give a bit of sparkle.  I'll enter it into this months Lavinia challenge
